Terms of use

Who can use the app

You must be at least 16 years old. The details you give us must be true, and you're responsible for keeping your login safe and for everything done with your account.

Health and safety: your training is your responsibility

• Exercise carries real risks, including injury, illness and, rarely, heart problems or death. You choose to train, and you take on those risks yourself.
• Everything in the app (plans, workouts, zones, targets, coach support, AI answers, and what other people post) is general fitness information. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it doesn’t replace a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach who knows you.
• Check with a doctor before you start a new plan, especially if you are pregnant or recently gave birth, have a heart or other medical condition, are injured, take medication, or haven’t trained for a while. Stop straight away and get medical help if you feel chest pain, faintness, dizziness, unusual breathlessness or pain.
• The safety questions in the plan builder only help shape a plan. They aren’t a medical check, and we don’t monitor your health. Numbers from phones, watches and sensors (heart rate, power, pace, distance, calories) can be wrong; use your own judgement.

Your content

• You own what you post. You give us a licence to store, show and share it inside the app so the features work (for example, showing your post to your followers). The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others have already received in messages.
• You must have the rights to everything you post or sell, and it must follow the Community guidelines. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users: we may remove content or suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Automated checks and AI features

• To keep the community safe, posts (including photos), comments, plan listings, team pages, your profile (name, username, bio and photo) and photos sent in chats are checked automatically by an AI service, Claude, made by Anthropic. Profiles are checked right after each change, and anything that breaks the community rules is removed.
• If you turn on the AI coach (it’s optional), what you enter for it is sent to the same service, as listed in the Privacy summary. You can turn it off in Profile › AI features.
• AI-generated plans and answers are written automatically. They can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for you, and they are not medical advice. You decide whether to follow them. Don’t use the assistant in an emergency: call your local emergency number.
• You can report any assistant answer from the chat. Reported answers, with the question they replied to, are reviewed to keep the assistant safe and accurate.

Other members, coaches and the marketplace

• Other members, coaches and plan authors are independent; they aren’t our staff and we don’t check their qualifications. What they post, sell or advise is their responsibility, not ours.
• Plans in the marketplace are checked before they go live, but we don’t guarantee results. When paid plans and paid coach support launch, they’ll be sold through Apple’s or Google’s in-app purchase, and their terms apply to payments and refunds.
• Coach support is for people aged 18 or over. Keep coaching in the app: sharing phone numbers, emails, outside payment links or other apps isn’t allowed. Either of you can stop support at any time, and blocking someone stops it.

No guarantees

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we don’t promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that any plan will get you a particular result.

Limits on our liability

• As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any injury, illness, loss or damage that comes from your training or activity, from following a plan, workout, target or suggestion in the app (including AI-generated ones), or from what other members post, sell or advise.
• As far as the law allows, we are also not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost data, profits or opportunities), and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or AED 200 if you paid nothing.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, or takes away rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived.

If a claim is made against us because of you

If someone makes a claim against us because of content you posted, something you sold, or your breaking these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, as far as the law allows.

Other services

Some features rely on other companies, such as Apple (Sign in with Apple, Apple Health, Apple Watch), Google, our hosting provider and our AI provider. Their own terms also apply when you use those features, and we aren’t responsible for their services.

Copyright complaints

If you think something in the app infringes your rights, email support@strivekin.com with a link to it and proof that you own the rights. We’ll review it and remove infringing content.

Ending your account

• You can delete your account at any time in Profile › Help & legal › Delete account. This removes your profile, posts, photos, messages, plans and workouts.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, put others at risk, or misuse the app.

Law and disputes

• These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and disputes go to the courts of Dubai, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
• If you have a problem, please email support@strivekin.com first so we can try to fix it.

Changes

We may update these terms. If the changes matter, we’ll ask you to agree again in the app.
