What Strivekin collects, why, and your choices. Strivekin is for people aged 16 and over.
What we collect
- Account: email or Sign in with Apple, username, name, photo, bio and the sports you choose.
- What you create: posts, photos, comments, messages, plans, workouts and reviews, and comments with your coach if you choose coach support (including any pain or discomfort you decide to mention).
- Training data you choose to import: workouts from Apple Health (type, time, duration, distance, heart rate, calories) and live sensor readings during a ride.
- Details you choose to add about yourself: year of birth and weight, and training numbers such as FTP, threshold pace, swim pace and heart rates. All optional.
- How a session felt, if you answer after it: too easy, about right or too hard, and whether something hurt. Only you can see this, and it isn’t sent to the AI.
How we use it
- To run the app: your feed, profile, messages, plans and workout history.
- To keep people safe: automated checks of posts, comments and listings by an AI service (Claude, by Anthropic).
- Your year of birth estimates your max heart rate, and your weight works out power-to-weight. These are worked out on your phone and only you can see them.
- When the coach writes or changes a plan, we look at the workouts you logged in the last five weeks so it doesn’t start too hard or jump too fast. This is done on our server; your workouts aren’t sent to the AI.
- For the AI coach, only if you turn on AI features: your goal, schedule, experience, equipment, sports and notes, plus your age as a 5-year range and your weight only if you separately allow it. Never your name, email, photos or Apple Health data.
- For the training assistant, only if you turn on AI features: your question and the conversation so far, the sports on your profile, your weekly goal, your training numbers, your active plans with this fortnight’s sessions, and workouts you logged in the app. Never your name, email, photos, posts, messages or Apple Health data. Conversations are stored only on your phone. We keep a daily count of questions, and any answer you report together with its question.
- Apple Health data is used only to show your training to you and, if you choose, in posts you share. It is never used for advertising or sold.
- Watches and widgets: when you send a session to Apple Watch, it goes to Apple’s Workout app on your own devices. Workout files you save are created on your phone and go only where you send them. Widgets show your sessions from a copy stored on your phone.
Who can see it
- Posts follow the audience you pick (everyone, followers or only you). Messages are visible only to people in the chat. Your workouts are private unless you share them.
- Coach support: your comments are visible only to you and your coach. While support is on, your coach can also see that plan, which sessions you finished and the sets you logged for them. This stops when support stops.
- Plan results: when you follow someone else’s plan, your progress is counted anonymously in that plan’s results (people started, sessions done). Results only appear once 5 people are a few sessions in. You can leave yourself out in Profile › Privacy.
- Tips you share on a plan’s sessions are shown with your name to others doing that plan and to its author.
- Shared plans: people you share a plan with see its sessions, phases and tips, but never your notes to the coach, the changes you asked for, or how sessions felt.
- Teams: a team’s name, description, photo, admins and member count are public. Its members can see who else is in it. Team posts are for members only unless you choose “Everyone”. The team chat is visible only to its members. The team you show on your profile is public.
- Data is stored with our hosting provider (Supabase). We don’t sell personal data.
